Questions and answers
How do I insert page numbers in a PDF?
Open the PDF with Add page numbers in PDFZyro, choose where the numbers go and their format, and save. The numbered PDF is saved as a new version.
Can I start numbering from a page other than 1?
Yes. Choose the first number and which pages to number, for example to skip a cover page.
Can I add 'Page X of Y'?
Yes. Choose that format and the total number of pages is filled in for you.
What's the difference between page numbers and Bates numbers?
Page numbers restart in each document. Bates numbers are unique across a whole set of documents, usually with a prefix, so every page in a legal case can be referred to by one number.
Is Add page numbers free?
Yes. The Free plan includes 3 edit, convert, compress or OCR tasks a day, with files up to 50 MB, and never adds a watermark. Pro removes the daily limit and is free to try for 7 days, with no card needed.
